This series is influenced from living close to large bodies of water, specifically Lake Simcoe & Georgian Bay of Ontario, Canada. Wasaga Beach on the shores of Georgian Bay, the longest fresh water beach in the world
(14 km) and a
popular tourist destination, is surprisingly quiet many times during the year making it accessible for quiet contemplation. The Great Lakes express unique and complex nuances of colour and light which varies each day. The water often reflects its signature cool quality, characteristic of deep Ontario water. Georgian Bay, composed of specific minerals, has a deep turquoise colour reminiscent of caribbean waters. These works are symbolic of my relationship to the elements of Space, Water & Earth. My experience of the lakes has become heightened by the current relevancy of our precious water resources. I also include ocean views in my work when the opportunity allows.

"Everything arises from space, exists in space and dissolves into space."
